Hikvision DS-2CD2387G2H-LIU Product Overview
The Hikvision DS-2CD2387G2H-LIU(2.8mm)(eF) is an 8MP ColorVu Smart Hybrid Light fixed turret network camera with a built-in microphone. Its 1/1.8-inch progressive-scan CMOS sensor records at up to 3840 × 2160, while the fixed 2.8mm F1.0 lens provides a wide 108.8° horizontal field of view.
The camera combines infrared and white-light illumination up to 40 metres with 130dB WDR and human and vehicle classification for supported motion and perimeter events. It also provides face capture, scene-change detection and local memory-card support up to 512GB. This exact LIU model has a built-in microphone for audio capture but no manufacturer-stated speaker, external audio input/output or alarm input/output, so it must not be presented as a two-way-audio or active-deterrence camera.
Key Benefits
-
4K 8MP detail: records at up to 3840 × 2160 for detailed live viewing and playback.
-
Wide 2.8mm coverage: the 108.8° horizontal field of view suits broad entrances, shops, offices, yards and general surveillance areas.
-
ColorVu low-light imaging: the 1/1.8-inch sensor and F1.0 aperture support colour-focused detail where ambient illumination is limited.
-
Smart Hybrid Light: provides configurable infrared and white-light operation with a manufacturer-rated range of up to 40 metres.
-
Human and vehicle classification: supported events can focus on relevant target types without adding unsupported product branding.
-
130dB WDR: helps retain detail where bright and shaded areas appear together.
-
Built-in microphone: records audio without misleadingly implying speaker playback or two-way audio.
-
IP67 metal housing: supports correctly installed indoor or outdoor use.

Night Imaging and Detection
Smart Hybrid Light can use infrared, white light or an intelligently controlled combination according to configuration. ColorVu supports colour-focused low-light monitoring, while practical results depend on available light, reflective surfaces, mounting and camera settings.
Human and vehicle classification is available for supported motion, line-crossing, intrusion, region-entry and region-exit events. Face capture and scene-change detection are also supported. Detection performance depends on target size, camera angle, lighting and correct configuration.
Audio, Storage and Compatibility
The built-in microphone records audio. No speaker or audio output is stated for this exact model, so the listing does not claim two-way audio. Compatible memory cards up to 512GB can be used for local recording; a card is normally sold separately.
Confirm NVR 8MP decoding, required frame rate, human-and-vehicle analytics, audio recording, Smart Hybrid Light control, PoE capacity, storage-card support and mounting accessories before ordering. ONVIF support can assist integration but does not guarantee every Hikvision-specific function.
