This "Smoke" model focuses purely on detection; audible warning is provided by companion FireProtect sounder devices on the same system.
Dual-Spectrum Optical Smoke Detection
The detector identifies smoke using a dual-spectrum optical sensor. Inside the sealed smoke chamber, blue and infrared LEDs emit light at two different wavelengths, allowing the detector to assess the size of volatile particles and reliably distinguish genuine smoke from harmless airborne particles.
The HazeFlow software algorithm processes sensor data to confirm real fire events and help reduce false alarms, while the patented smoke chamber design shields the sensor from dust, dirt and insects and does not react to water vapour.

Secure Jeweller Wireless Communication

The detector is powered by two pre-installed CR123A lithium batteries, providing up to six years of autonomous operation under normal conditions. Batteries can be replaced without tools, and the device includes reverse-polarity protection.
Battery status is continuously monitored and reported to the Ajax app, with early low-battery notifications sent in advance to allow planned maintenance.
Tamper and Sabotage Protection
The detector features a tamper button that detects removal of the device from its SmartBracket mounting panel and immediately reports it to system users and the monitoring company as a fault.
Device authentication protects against spoofing, ensuring only genuine Ajax devices can be paired with the system.
Quick Professional Installation
The included SmartBracket mounting panel enables straightforward installation without disassembling the detector. Once mounted, the detector can be rotated up to 90° to align the branding or LED, and an optional lock secures the device so it cannot be removed without a special tool.
